NO Shorts are allowed if you race a vehicle.

## NEW RULE FOR SSS BRACKET POINTS

If you are a buy back after the 1st round, you will not earn points. However, you can still race for the purse.

** IHRA Ruling BEGINNING IN 2009: **

All entries running 9.00 or quicker 1/4 mile or 6.00 or quicker 1/8th must have a current IHRA Chassis Certification. NHRA Certifications will no longer be honored. We have the IHRA 90-day extension forms that will need to be filled out before you can run.

The nearest certified inspector at this time are in Midland and Mike Remirez in San Antonio...

OUR BRACKET RACE TRACK POINTS IF YOU ARE IN THE SUMMIT SUPER SERIES...ARE SUMMIT POINTS!

IF YOU ARE NOT IN THE SUMMIT SERIES, YOU WILL NEED TO JOIN TO BE IN THE SUMMIT POINTS RACE. IT IS ONLY $60.00 to the I.H.R.A. FOR THE ENTIRE SEASON. Contact Donna in the track office to pay & get the entry forms. ANY NEW RACERS INTERESTED IN GETTING INTO OUR TRACK POINTS BRACKET RACE, CAN TRY THE DASH FOR THE CASH BRACKET RACE OR THE WEEKLY BRACKETS TO SEE IF THEY LIKE BRACKET RACING. ANYONE CAN ENTER THE BRACKET RACES.

What is Dash for the CASH?

It’s a 2 round bracket race format. Everyone gets a few time trials, then line up for the Dash Race. Everyone chooses a dial that you think you’re going to run. The stager pairs up the cars in classes (Box and No Box). The winner of the 1st round does not necessarily win the Dash! The driver out of the 1st round that comes closest to their dial without going quicker or red lighting moves to the final round and races the driver of the 1st round with the best reaction time, without going over or red lighting. Both of these move to the final round. The final round is a straight-up bracket race. Dial it and go. The winner gets the cash. Should the same person have the closest dial and the best reaction time the winner is that person and there is no 2nd round. It’s a fun and good way to enjoy some close finish line racing.

## I.H.R.A. SUMMIT SUPER SERIES 2010 Season

We have received from the IHRA the following news: A $60 Summit Super Series License and Membership Fee is required for all Summit Super Series track points members in 2010. The ET Bracket Membership and License includes: An IHRA "X" Number and Insurance Program, Rule Book, Jacket Patch, Decals, Membership and License Card and a 1 Year Subscription to "Drag Review Magazine. We have the required Forms here at the track. All racers that wish to be in the Summit Super Series Points Race will need to pay the $60.00 before they race!!! A Membership and License will be required reguardless of your cars time. If your car runs 10.00 and slower, you will not be required to make the passes for the license. A 9.99 or quicker will require passes.

Dash for the Cash points will be included in the Summit Super Series and Track Points Race.

Anyone can race in either the SSS or Track Bracket Races. NEW POINTS SYSTEM COMING...

The Following Times are for our 2010 Season Saturday Bracket Races

The following times are subject to change due to delays, such as wrecks, oil downs, etc. Due to confusion and congestion, the following rules have been Implemented.

Times may vary for special races.

Our Saturday Bracket Races starting times :

There will be 2 guaranteed Time Trials for the Bracket Races. Time trial 1 will be at 1:00pm. Time trial 2 will be at 1:45pm. We will start the Dash For the Cash...1st CALL @ 2:15pm. Box in lanes 1 & 2, Paired No Box in lane 3 & 4 Paired...start time @ 2:30pm. 2nd round DC will follow 15 mins. after No Box's last run.

The Bracket Races 1st Round Elimination: 1st call will be @ 3:40pm for Box Class, and No Box. Race starts @ 4:00pm. Box in lanes 1 & 2...No Box lanes 3 & 4. 2nd round, Box winners lane 1, buy backs lane 2. No Box winners’ lane 3, buy backs lane 4. First call BOX & No Box @ 4:30pm. Race starts @ 5:00pm, and so on... Please be IN the lanes prior to these start times. Check the lights on the rear of the Stands: Green Light - No Box.... Yellow Light - BOX. The appropriate lights on the back of the stands, will be turned on when the announcer makes first call. It is time to come to the staging lanes when these lights are on. Once the field is set the lights will be turned off **DON'T BE LATE** or you'll miss your race & no refunds will be given. Buy backs, only after 1st round $10.00 paid at the TECH building. If YOU BREAK during the race and YOU ARE IN the BRACKETS, PLEASE go to tech and have tech call the tower, to inform them you are out of the race.

Second Round: Box Winners line up in lane 1, Buy-Backs in lane 2.

No Box Winners line up in lane 3, Buy-Backs in lane 4.

Just so all the racers will know...we have stripes on the asphalt showing the parking areas in the pits. Each car will be allowed 25 ft., the vehicle towing the trailer & only one crew vehicle. If there are any questions, please call us at the track at 409-276-1910.

The asphalt area next to Tech is reserved for motor coaches & those with enclosed trailers ONLY. These vehicles can not use the grass area, due to the drop off onto the grass.

The entry fee for Dash for the Cash of $10.00 & the Bracket Race entry fee will be collected at the FRONT GATE as you come in using colored Tech Cards. All Buy Backs of $10.00 will be paid at the Tech Building.

Dash for the Cash starts @ 1:00 PM and Spring Bracket Races start @ 4:00 PM Racer Bracket Entry Fee: @ the Gate: Box Division: $50.00 No Box & Motorcycle Division: $40.00 Dash for the Cash: $10.00

Dash for the Cash ((1 Point for entering...1 Point for the winning round & 1 Point for winning Race))

Guaranteed Win pay out with at least 8 cars, in the bracket race, in each division. See chart below.
